When we vacationed in the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia last November we came across the
Shenandoah Farm Market. What a wonderful place. They have year-round fresh local produce and follow natural sustainable earth friendly practices. They take pride in their unique little store. It is owned by Allen and Debbie Sinclair and operated with the help of excellent personalized service staff.
They are located on Orkney Grade in Mount Jackson. If you are in the area stop by and browse. They also feature many items from different local artists. A wonderful and unique place.

And check out Andrea's wonderful scarves. I am the proud owner of the grey one.

We are in a deep-freeze here and are supposed to get more snow tomorrow, brrrr!... I am dreaming of spring and sunshine.

ReplyDeleteHello Heidi,
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my virtual place. I am so glad you like my stories about Poland. Actually, I am still in Canada, but will be moving in 3 weeks.
I love visiting farmers markets. Thank you for showing the photos in this blog. I especially like the one with colourful candles. I will be visiting your blog in the future.
This looks like a fantastic place with lots of treasures!
ReplyDeleteHi Heidi, Well thank you so much for your lovely comment on my blog! After reading your description I am so incredibly excited as your story sounds very similar to my favourite film ever... Baghdad Cafe, have you seen it? A German lady(not sure if she was Bavarian, but maybe) who ended up in the desert out West, x
ReplyDeleteOh ja, ich mag diese Märkte. Es gibt immer etwas zu finden und die Leute sind nett.
ReplyDeleteLiebe Grüsse hartmut

Hello Heidi!
ReplyDeleteWelcome on my blog.
What a beautiful shop !
I love the little kitchen towels. When I go to America I buy some and I crochet the top.On last year a bloggerfriend from Marietta sent me three Xmas towels and this year one with a beautiful snowmman. I cannot find any so beautiful towel in France.
That looks like a great shop to browse through Heidi. Lots of good things to buy too. Loved all your pictures. Regards, Nessie
ReplyDeleteHello Heidi, thankyou for visiting my blog. I love your photos, especially the boardwalk at the beach and the snowy shots. I could take hundreds of photos of the snow here in England as it's such a novelty for me and really transforms the village into a picture postcard setting. Robx
ReplyDeleteHi Heidi; thanks a lot for visiting me, and for you kind words. The Farm Market looks divine, and I can only imagine how good it must have smelled in there. It's a great pity that it's so hard (and expensive) to buy healthy food here in Norway.
ReplyDeleteHope you'r having a great week. No sign of spring here yet, -15 today.
Hugs Lilli
Liebe Heidi,
ReplyDeletehab Dank für Deinen lieben Kommentar bei mir!
Schön, dass Du mich vom anderen Ende der Welt aus entdeckt hast! :)
Jetzt lese ich auch gerne bei Dir mit...
HERZliche Grüße
Martina
