Oh happy day ~

Look what I discovered

A wonderful place called Brotgarten at the Perk Up Cafe 
in Broad Ripple

Finally I can buy some good german bread and pastries not too far from where I live.

We went there for Kaffeeklatsch (=gossip over cups of coffee,"  from Ger., from kaffee "coffee" + klatsch "gossip) this past Sunday and the Hazelnutcream Torte and the Cheese Cake were so delicious.

Beautiful local art is displayed throughout this cozy place, it is just so warm and inviting.
What a great place with an amazing atmosphere and dog friendly, too.
Will take Gracie and Lucy there next time.

    The German bread shop looks lovely Heidi.
    I love the German bread and cakes. I eat them when in Switzerland.
    Nice that you can even take your dogs with you..very civilized.

    What a charming place you found. I love when I come across quaint little shops like this. The desserts look so yummy. Wouldn't it be nice if we could meet there and visit with eachother for awhile?

    Oh yum! That hazelnut torte looks scrumptious! I lived in Germany for a while as a kid. I do miss the good German bread.

    Oh it looks like you found a wonderful place to get bread and have a nice cake and coffee. I had a german girlfriend and in our younger days when our hubbies were off to work we would have Kaffelatsch all the time. I always loved the term. Oh I think I would be in big trouble there with those delicious looking cakes. Enjoy your special place.
