Yesterday I went to my favorite flower shop "Rubia" and purchased these winter berries. I love the bright red color. They were busy at the shop preparing Christmas bouquets. What caught my eye were two-colored pink tulips with cedar - so beautiful.

Just got back from a trip to the Library. Can't be without books! Looking forward to reading "Ellis Island" by Kate Kerrigan.
What are you reading right now?

Christmas time's for dreaming

Holidays of childhood,
Memories all aglow.

ReplyDeleteI'm in search of a new book right now!
I love winter berries.
ReplyDeleteI am reading a collection of short stories by Kate Atkinson "Not the End of the World"
The "winterberries" are lovely. I have been wanting to go buy a few branches to brighten up my mantle. I finished "Daphne" while we were traveling. I haven't started anything new yet. I am feeling a bit behind. Bonnie
ReplyDeleteThe winterberries are so nice, they can stand alone in a vase and make a statement. - You sure got to see so many beautiful booths in Chicago, I bet everything was so much more stricking in person.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and following my blog, I will be back to visit yours also!
Trying to catch up with peirodicals.I had a short one this month in Birds and Blooms Extra.I looked for something nice like this but haven't found it, no art work hardly at all in my new place.

Red winter berries are beautiful, very seasonal. I love them!
ReplyDeleteAt the moment I am reading a large old book which my husband bought for me a long time ago. It is a collection of Christmas magazines from the late 1880's, beautifully illustrated. Each December I get it off the shelf and enjoy reading through the very old-fashioned stories. I find the old advertisements very entertaining.
Dear Heidi,
ReplyDeletehow are you??? Are you ready for X-Mas??? The winterberries are beautiful. The book "Ellis Islands" sounds good... i love stories about emigrants . I'm reading "Der Beobachter" von Charlotte Link... its a psychological thriller. I dont know how to translate the title... it means something like: the observer... the watcher.
I wish you a nice and easy "Pre-X-Mas-week"! Take care! Ursula from Munich
Liebe Heidi

Your Christmas berries are picture perfect!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you Heidi and to your family.
Rita
These are so beautiful. You could even use the first picture as next year's Christmas card, it has the perfect feeling of Holidays in it! I'm afraid I have too little time for reading these days (which really is a shame). I hope during Christmas I'm able to catch up on my reading!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! Very Christmasy!
ReplyDeleteThat book sounds good. I need to get to the library....
I really like Winter Berries around Christmas time. These photos show the bright redness of them, and are truly beautiful. Merry Christmas!
